About this journal
This Journal is the place I tend to write my general thoughts and feelings about all things in life....as they cross my path.

Our Prayers and support are surely needed.....

I don't mean for my Journal to become a news portal, but I was quite shocked this morning to read that the death toll from the Myanmar Cyclone is now up to 22,000.

The US Government has issued a travel warning.....things are really bad there.

That sort of death toll is staggering to me. To put that into perspective I can understand, that is approximately two and a half times the population of my town.....or as if one out of five people in Nashua were killed.

I have said another prayer for those poor people who
are involved there....both the dead and wounded....as well as those who have perhaps had their normal life uprooted and placed on it's head.

I see that there are several relief organizations already swinging into gear.

As I would expect, the Red Cross is one of them already mobilizing and looking for support.

UNICEF has a web page taking contributions for Emergency Programs in Myanmar.

Then I see there is this "Anglican Communication Network" website...but I know nothing about them.

But I hope everyone will consider some sort of donation to a charity of your choice. Every little bit helps.

Done for the week......put a fork in it!

I dropped the dogs off at the kennel and took a ride back to work to debug two new CPU motherboard
(a design enhacement / respin) that came in and need to go into DVT test. (environmental stress testing)

These were units that were supposed to arrive on Friday....then Monday...but alas, Cinco de Mayo ruined those plans.
(they were built in Mexico)

So today was it....and of course, our Tech had a doctors appointment....so I trudged back and I am happy to day I did manage to get two systems built and debugged and ready for qualification test.

Now off to the house to pack and veg out...waiting to leave for NYC!

I would have been thinking about those new boards had I`not come back to do that....so now, I can sleep like a baby!
